Information Architect
Are you up to the challenge of creating immersive user experiences for innovative new digital paradigms? Many of our clients are leaders in their respective industries and they continually challenge us to reinvent the way they interact with their digital audiences. We are looking for a special individual skilled at managing and executing the information architecture process from developing and implementing user research strategies to creating new experiences designed to meet our clients' goals.
The Information Architect:
- Creates usability test plans for Web sites and Web-based applications
- Determines the best recruitment and user testing methods based on project goals and resources (time, staff and budget)
- Applies user-centered design principles to the creation of user interfaces and information architecture
- Creates navigational flows and wireframes
- Collaborates with a diverse set of team members and internal clients, including subject matter experts, Web developers, visual designers, content coordinators, marketing experts, project managers and senior development professionals, to determine Web site requirements, goals, target audiences, technical considerations, etc.
- Stays abreast of new research in the fields of user-centered design, user testing methodologies, information architecture, information design and interaction modeling as well as industry standards and trends
Required skills include:
- Experience with usability metrics (e.g., success rate, time on task, clickstream, satisfaction, etc.)
- Knowledge of Section 508 accessibility requirements for Web-based systems and multimedia products
- Experience designing information architecture and user experiences for complex Web-based applications and mobile devices for consumer- and business-centric programs
- Experience designing for rich media experiences such as Flash presentations and applications, interactive media applications and virtual experiences
- Experience translating user analytics such as Google Analytics, Web Trends and Omniture to IA requirements and user flows
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Visio or Omnigraffle for Mac, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, Axure and other prototype development tools
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in human computer interaction, information design and technology, or a related field
- Bachelor's degree preferred
