ThoughtMatrix is seeking a Web application/J2EE architect/developer to guide and deliver ThoughtMatrix's world class content management solutions, based on both open source and enterprise Web content management system (CMS) software, and contribute to developing Web content management and delivery strategies.

The CMS Architect provides technical leadership throughout the lifecycle of a project, with specific focus on CMS solutions. This ranges from platform selection through the design, user interface, and technical integration of projects, and includes interfacing with client technology and management teams.

The CMS Architect:

• Actively works with the account team to establish strategy for the account
• Handles CMS platform selection, working with stakeholders to understand needs and map them to product capabilities
• Compiles system design and architecture documentation and oversees development efforts
• Maintains a strong understanding of industry and enterprise-wide trends and best practices
• Utilizes deep understanding of CMS solutions to help clients make strategic decisions
• Translates the client's business requirements into systems design
• Establishes high, mid and micro level plans, and estimates for project teams
• Identifies and manages risk on projects
• Has proven leadership and managerial skills to independently manage teams during multiple phases of the project lifecycle
• Interfaces effectively with client executives and internal teams
• Demonstrates consulting skills, including client relationship management and team facilitation
• Has well-developed organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, and can skillfully facilitate meetings and presentations, and develop documentation
• Has excellent business analysis skills, including architecture and implementation experience
• Demonstrates requirements analysis, conceptual, logical and detailed design skills
• Performs configuration planning, testing, change management and support
• Manages multiple complex projects simultaneously

Required skills include:

• Experience with 2 or more WCM/ECM products (Tridion, Oracle UCM, Fatwire, Day Communique, Sitecore, etc.)
• Minimum 6 years in application architecture/enterprise architecture, systems integration and development, package implementation
• Experience integrating search technology (Autonomy, Endeca, FAST, etc.) is a plus
• Experience in designing, implementing and supporting enterprise level applications
• Expertise in multiple technology platforms/languages such as Java, J2EE, C#, .NET, etc.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field required
• Minimum of 6 years experience in enterprise architecture, systems integration, custom and package implementation, and architecture experience
• Experience providing a vision to the total solution, managing a track of work and defining a comprehensive solution leading toward a common vision
• Full life cycle experience
• Prior experience in a consulting firm
