PayPal is one of the world's leading online payment providers. Their complex environment was designed for scalability, security and performance. However, integrating effective content management that would allow marketers and business stakeholders to create, update and deploy their own content proved difficult to accomplish after numerous attempts.
PayPal engaged ThoughtMatrix to assist with a content management system platform selection. However, it quickly became clear that there were some changes to the core architecture required to support the new CMS. The ThoughtMatrix team worked closely with groups across PayPal, including architecture, engineering, marketing and IT to identify the architectural changes required and complete a CMS vendor selection and successful integration.
The new CMS has been used to deploy new sites and existing content, as well as support localization and translation—and becomes a more broadly used tool every day within PayPal. More groups in this diverse global organization migrate to the CMS every day and ThoughtMatrix continues to support PayPal in that effort.
