Rocky Mountain Hardware is a designer and manufacturer of high-end custom bronze architectural hardware. They have a large and constantly growing selection of product offerings, and a very small in-house technical staff. They needed a way for their non-technical Marketing team to be able to quickly and easily update their Web site with new products, trade show events, press releases and advertising campaigns. They also needed to ensure their site rose in the search engine rankings.
Solution
ThoughtMatrix went through a thorough Content Management System platform selection process, and Joomla! was the solution that was implemented, both for its ease of use and its extensibility. The wide variety of open-source extensions to Joomla!'s core functionality allowed easy integration of all of Rocky Mountain Hardware's desired features and functionality.
Results
ThoughtMatrix used the Content Templater extension, simplifying the content creation process by creating pre-defined content templates for different page types, with instructions built-in, in which content can be easily entered by non-technical staff. The JPhoto extension provides the high-end galleries to showcase products and projects on the Web site. The ChronoForms extension allows Rocky Mountain Hardware to distribute their rich product literature electronically (saving on shipping costs) and capture users' submitted information for sales team follow-up.
