In a community where yoga studios are as prevalent as corner stores, it can be hard to make an entry that gets noticed, let alone stands as a new example for how a growing yoga enterprise can nurture its community. But with help from ThoughtMatrix, that's exactly what the entrepreneurs behind Groove Yoga did when they brought their unique approach, energy and enthusiasm to yoga devotees. Groove Yoga wanted to launch their brand with a Web site that would convey their deep experience and wide array of instructors and classes. They also needed a site that tied into the social media outlets that their student and instructor base uses regularly. Last, they needed a Web site that was easy to keep fresh and updated with new content.
Solution
ThoughtMatrix started at the very beginning, creating a complete identity for Groove Yoga that conveyed their vision and aspirations while functioning well offline and online. With Groove Yoga's core audience in mind, ThoughtMatrix then developed an information architecture that put the most compelling and useful information at the users' fingertips, including class schedules, news and reviews. To complement the thoughtful IA, we created a design that blends inspiring photography with a contemporary yet approachable brand. All of these elements were implemented in WordPress, making it easy for Groove Yoga to keep the site fresh.
Results
With real-time updates to class schedules, maps and directions, instructor bios, photos, videos and detailed class information, Groove's yoga studio has succeeded in filling their impressive schedule of classes. Not only has the Web site helped their studio take off, but Groove Yoga has also received calls and emails complimenting them on their Web site and their online presence. They are poised to expand both their online and offline presence.
